Emerald Isle – Honeycomb Blanks

We took our most beloved blank, Emerald Isle, and fed it to the bees.
The result? Honeycomb Emerald Isle blanks that look like they were stolen straight out of a druid’s vault and immediately dared to spin at high speed.

These blanks are high-pressure cast with Alumilite resin and loaded with premium Eye Candy pigments, giving them deep, earthy tones, serious shimmer, and that “stand back and admire it” glow once finished. Every blank is unique, because nature doesn’t do copy and paste, and neither do we.

⚔️ Viking Turning Warnings (Read Before Battle):
These blanks are for experienced turners with sharp tools, high speed, and a light hand. You are not carving a club. You are negotiating with the blank.

• Use very light cuts

• Keep your tools razor sharp

• Run fast

• Some scale loss may occur. This is normal. This is war.

Pro Viking Move:
Save a few of the early chips. Seriously. If a scale jumps ship later, glue one you saved back in with thick CA and activator, let it fully cure, then sneak up on it with the gentlest touch you’ve got. I usually finish with about 8 coats of Medium Flex CA so those scales stay put forever.

For best results, finish with CA. Alumilite is hands-down the best resin I’ve used, a joy to turn, and it polishes up like it’s showing off. Sand, polish, buff… done.

The reward? A pen that looks like it survived a saga and came out prettier.
